That's right everyone, in a recent interview with frontman Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against The Machine, there is an album in the works currently and possibly out by Summer of 2011! Along with this great news, Zack also goes on to say they will be playing a 4 hour concert (we're unsure if it's one 4 hour concert or spread out) and this will contain new song(s). The interview was not in English unfortunately so we'll put link to the interview with some translated sections that will catch your attention!
Zack de la Rocha speech at high speed and at times interrupted the conversation to apologize, in an adjacent room are rehearsing with the rest of RATM all the repertoire that will show the Latin tour that will also stop in Brazil and Argentina. "In Chile we will play for four hours and for that we need much preparation. We will present new songs we're rehearsing, but basically it will be a broader review of our repertoire," he promises."
The band is back together in 2007, how was this second life?
Very good, we are all bigger and mature and you do not fall into the problems we faced 10 or 15 years. This is different and we project a lot: we are working on a new album due out next year, perhaps for the northern hemisphere summer.

We will continue to update everyone with more news on this!!!

You saw it correctly, Rage Against The Machine will be performing back in the United States and in their hometown for the first time in 10 years! They will be performing with Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band. The concert, which was announced by The Sound Strike, will be a benefit concert for Arizona organizations fighting SB 1070. This is the immigration law many of you have probably seen on the news or read about somewhere that's stirring up a lot of controversy. The concert is taking place at the Hollywood Palladium on July 23rd. Here's in the article straight from The Sound Strike.
"SOUNDSTRIKE ARTISTS RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, CONOR OBERST AND THE MYSTIC VALLEY BAND TO PLAY HISTORIC CONCERT TO BENEFIT ARIZONA ORGANIZATIONS FIGHTING SB 1070
LOS ANGELES, CA: In their first concert in their hometown of Los Angeles in 10 years, Rage Against the Machine will take the stage at the Hollywood Palladium on July 23rd, 2010 to support organizations combating SB 1070, law set to go into effect July 29th. Projected proceeds from the concert along with donations raised by The Sound Strike Fund are expected to exceed over $300,000. This will provide much needed resources to community organizations, student groups, legal defense funds and assist activists targeting key voting districts for voter registration. These two organizations need immediate assistance to fight SB1070 on the ground: Puente, Arizona, and The Florence Project.
Puente, Arizona has been recognized as an organization that has stood on the frontlines in the struggle for civil and human rights in Arizona for years. Puente Arizona has been instrumental in community outreach that has produced the largest public mobilizations against SB 1070. Known for their tireless community organizing, Puente Arizona works directly with communities who will be most affected by SB 1070.
The Florence Project provides and coordinates free legal services, and related social services to the men, women, and unaccompanied children detained in Arizona for immigration removal proceedings. The Florence Project strives to ensure that detained individuals have access to council, understand they’re rights under immigration law, and are treated fairly and humanely by our judicial system.
The concert is part of a week of national actions culminating in the
July 29th day of noncompliance in resistance to the law which is set to
be enacted that same day. For more information about the week of
national action go to www.altoarizona.com.
For more information about upcoming concert events to help defend
immigrant rights go to www.thesoundstrike.net."

That's right everyone, talk is beginning that Rage Against The Machine may be working on a new studio album once they're done with the current tour they have been rocking at. The article can be found at NME's web site, but we'll put it up here for you to read as well.
"Rage Against The Machine have hinted that they
may record a new album following their free gig
in London's Finsbury Park.
The band played the
show as a thank you to fans after beating The X Factor
contestant Joe McElderry to the top spot last December.
They have now told NME they may use the momentum to get
back in the studio to make their first new album since 2000's 'Renegades'.
"I think it's a genuine possibility," said singer Zack de la
Rocha of recording a new album. "We have to get our heads
around what we’re going to do towards the end of the year and finish up
on some other projects and we’ll take it from there."
The band are set to play the O2 venue in Dublin
tomorrow (June 8) before headlining the Download
festival on Saturday (12).
Get this week's issue of NME, on UK newsstands
nationwide from Wednesday (June 9), for an exclusive interview and a
behind the scenes report from Rage
Against The Machine's 'victory' gig."
Thanks goes out to NME for that article -- we'll keep this subject updated with any new rumors and information!
